The visitor centre is currently closed temporarily. We would like to take the opportunity to thank all of our local supporters and visitors for their custom and apologise for any inconvenience caused by this closure.
Please note that the National Cat Adoption Centre is also closed to the public at this time. We would like to reassure you that we are still caring for the cats in our care, and offering a ‘virtual’ Hands Free Homing service, but due to COVID-19 restrictions we are currently unable to open our doors to the public until further notice.
Our woodland walk is ideal for families, school children and nature lovers. Why not take a walk on the wild side and learn all about the natural environment?
On route there are interpretation boards featuring fascinating facts about the natural world, making the trail both a fun and educational experience. Meet the unique flock of Hebridean sheep that graze the forest and see if you can find our fairy circle and our new Enchanted Village!
The trail starts outside the administration building and covers approximately 2km. We estimate it will take between 1 – 2 hours to complete at a leisurely pace.
