Regrettably, our visitor centre, on-site café and National Cat Adoption Centre are currently closed to the public. You are welcome to visit our lovely woodland walk and further explore the stunning Ashdown Forest that surrounds us, however please note we have no toilets or baby-changing facilities available.
While we miss welcoming local cat lovers to our Chelwood Gate site, we've taken the decision to remain closed to the public for now, to keep our employees, volunteers and the supporting public as safe as possible. Our feline residents have also become used to quieter hallways, so we're keen o reopen in a way that will not cause them any undue stress.
Our team are working hard behind the scenes to continually assess the needs and safety of our cats, volunteers, employees and visitors. While we do not currently have a date in mind, please rest assured that we intend to welcome you back soon.
Yes! During lockdown, we introduced hands-free homing, which has been successful in finding many of our cats and kittens brilliant new owners. We're continuing to rehome our cats virtually, however, once a cat has been reserved, we're offering visits to the adoption centre by appointment, so you have the opportunity to meet your moggy match. If you are interested in any of our cats available for adoption, please enquire via their listing.
