Piper
Piper

Piper is one of our longest-stay residents and has been in our care for 145 days. Piper is a big character and a very smart cat who loves a chat. She is estimated to be three years old. She is mostly independent and likes attention on her own terms. Piper arrived in our care with a damaged rear leg which unfortunately had to be amputated. Since then, Piper has adjusted very well and has a new lease on life! She has a lot of energy and will require a home that can provide her with the enrichment and exercise she needs. She will also need a quiet area where she can be left alone when she needs to decompress. She is playful but can be a bit unpredictable so may suit an older household who understand cat body language. Piper is an interesting and entertaining girl, really a one-in-a-million cat. We would love to get Piper the home she deserves.

Bob
Bob

The adorable Bob is the sweetest, chattiest boy who loves some fuss and attention. Bob has previously lived in a busy household with other cats, but this caused him to become stressed and he started overgrooming. Bob is a very friendly boy who is comfortable with humans, but to avoid him becoming stressed again he would need to go to a quiet, adult-only home and be the only pet.

Half Penny
Half Penny

We would like to introduce you to our beautiful girl Half Penny! She is a three-year-old tabby-and-white cat who came into the centre with her daughter Tuppence after their owner had to give them both up. She is such a lovely girl who adores attention from our team. Half Penny gave birth to three kittens on the 12th of February and we have named them Shilling, Farthing and Sixpence. They are all doing very well. For the first few weeks, Half Penny and her babies will be resting in their bed, so they may not be visible on the webcam.

Ms Dynamite
Ms Dynamite

Ms Dynamite is an independent character who is looking for an adult-only home where she will be the only animal. She is looking for somewhere with plenty of space to roam as she loves to be outdoors and explore. Ms Dynamite enjoys playing with toys (particularly feather rod toys) and is very vocal. Now she has settled in at our Devon Cat Centre, Ms Dynamite is now enjoying gentle strokes and will purr away. We are sure she will get even more confident with her new owners as time goes by.

Misty
Misty

Meet Misty, a lovely girl who came into care after her owner sadly could not afford treatment for medical issues. At the moment she has a mild skin condition which she is receiving treatment for and hopefully will clear up soon. She is a sleek and silky grey-and-white two-year-old girl who is extremely friendly. Misty is always looking for attention and rushes to meet you as soon as you enter her pen. She loves to play with feather and string toys and chase balls in her back run. In her previous home she loved to get out and explore so we will be looking for somewhere similar for her new home.

Otter
Otter

Meet the lovely Otter, the new sponsor cat at the United Kingdom Cat Centre. Otter was originally a stray, who was taken in by a family but has since stopped getting along with the other cats in the household. Sadly Otter has had part of his ear removed due to sun damage, therefore he will need to have suncream applied when going outside to protect him from further sun damage. Otter loves company, so would suit a home that can give him lots of attention and fuss. He is an incredibly friendly boy who we are hoping can find a loving new home soon.

Become a Cats Protection sponsor and you’ll get regular updates on every cat you’re helping. Here’s what you’ll receive:

  • a special sponsorship welcome pack, including a picture postcard of the cat you're currently sponsoring, a folder for your postcards, a personalised certificate and window sticker
  • three postal newsletters a year updating you on how you’re helping cats in our care, including a postcard of the current cat in your sponsor pen
  • regular email updates about how your cat is getting on, when they find a new home and new arrivals to your pen (if you opt in to receiving these)
  • an online portal to see your latest pen resident and watch them on our new live stream. You can also look back at all the cats you’ve already helped
