The difference you will make to cats and people
As a charity we receive numerous enquiries on a daily basis from members of the public related to cats and their welfare. Our enquiries volunteers are part of a passionate team of volunteers that help Cats Protection signpost and manage these enquiries. They help our cats by answering questions from members of the public, providing advice and signposting queries to other volunteers and employees if needed.

A bit more information about this role and the team
Cats Protection are seeking new volunteers within the North west region to come on board to help our Warrington Cat Centre with their telephone enquiries. Warrington Cat Centre is a busy centre that receives numerous enquiries on a daily basis regarding adopting, rehoming, neutering and more. With the help of a new team of Enquiries Volunteers, we want to ensure we can increase the number of calls we are attending too, and therefore help more cats that are in need.
This role will be based at Warrington Cat Centre located on Elizabeth Drive in Padgate (WA1 4JQ). Volunteers may spend around 4-6 hours a week within this role and full training will be given by our superb welcoming team, both on site and regionally. All volunteers will be entitled to claim back expenses for their travel to and from the role itself (including mileage, bus, tram and train travel).

What we need from you
You’ll be:
- Responding to enquiries from members of the public
- Communicating with others and providing information in response to queries
- Signposting queries and requests to other team members
Time expectation
Our enquiries volunteers usually spend 4 to 6 hours per week in this role, which is flexible and can be shared by more than one volunteer if needed.
