Cats Protection & the RSPCA are running a neutering campaign across the West Midlands covering Staffordshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Herefordshire and Shropshire.

RSPCA logoUnder the campaign, cat owners can get their pet cat neutered & microchipped for just £5 at participating vets. Please check with the vet whether there may be any additional costs.

The guidelines for eligibility for neutering assistance apply to one or more of the following; receipt of certain means-tested benefits, low household income, full-time students living away from home, state-only pension and pension credit. Proof of eligibility will be required by the vet in order to participate in the scheme.

The scheme is available directly via participating vets, contact details can be found on the map below. You can enlarge the map and search using your postcode by clicking in the top right corner, or zoom in and out and click on the pins for the contact details of your nearest vets. Please contact the vet directly to book an appointment and request to book a neutering appointment using the West Midlands neutering scheme and take proof of eligibility on the day.

Alternatively, if you are having difficulties using the map to find your nearest vet, or wish to discuss the criteria for eligibility, please contact the Cats Protection Helpline directly on 03000 12 12 12 (option 2 for neutering) Monday to Friday, 9.30am – 1pm.

The campaign covers pet cats and stray cats looking to be taken on as a pet by the applicant. We request exhaustive efforts are made to find an owner before we can proceed with financial assistance (for a minimum or two weeks). If you have a feral cat or numerous stray cats in the area, they cannot be neutered using the campaign. Please call Cats Protection Helpline directly on 03000 12 12 12 (option 2 for neutering) and they will advise on how they may be able help. You may be referred to your local branch if you are out of area – this phone number is charged at local rates.

Please note the scheme cannot be used by independent rescues or other charities. A maximum voucher restriction applies to this campaign per household.
